At Chesley Brown, we believe people are our greatest asset and that starts with bringing on team members who are passionate about protecting what matters most. We’re proud to welcome Stacy Stockton to the team as our new Director of Business Development. With a strong belief in integrity, follow-through, and authentic connection, Stacy brings not only decades of leadership experience but a genuine drive to help our clients eliminate risk before it becomes a crisis.
Whether she’s building long-term partnerships or biking 264 miles across Missouri, Stacy leads with energy, purpose, and persistence.
Q: Who are you: What is your role at Chesley Brown (how do you help clients)?
A: I am the Corporate Director of Business Development for Chesley Brown. My role is to connect with businesses and community leaders to share our proactive approach to eliminating risks, protecting their people and safeguarding their future. I like to meet with each client and listen to fully understand their property and their security needs, then work with them to develop and execute a security plan tailored to those needs. Chesley Brown offers security consulting, protective intelligence and professional uniformed security management services.
Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received regarding your career, and how has it influenced you?
A: A person once told me that you can be who you want to be in this world but having a great personality will take you very far and always deliver on what you promise. I believe this is so true and very important in everyday life which carries over into my work life as well. I am very friendly and engaging and follow through on my commitments.
Q: What do you do when you aren’t at work?
A: I love all things outdoors: golfing, bicycle riding, motorcycle riding, paddle boarding, camping and nature walks and hikes.
Q: People are always surprised to learn that you…
A: In 2017, I biked the Katy Trail in 5 days, 264 miles from Pleasant Hill Missouri to St. Charles, Missouri. In 2022, my high school softball team was inducted into the Missouri State Sports Hall of Fame. I love vintage motorcycles and had a small collection at one point in my life but ran out of space and time.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about the city or town where you work, and what’s one hidden gem you’d recommend to visitors?
A: Kansas City is a wonderful city! I have had the opportunity to travel to many other cities over the years, and I still get excited when I get back in town to my home in Kansas City, Missouri. Kansas City is a hub to many gems; beautiful golf courses, walking trails, biking trails and museums. The food scene in K.C. is off the charts. If you are a music lover, the live music scene is top notch in K.C. I love K.C.
Why We’re Excited
