What is your role at Chesley Brown — how do you help clients?
As the Senior Director of Security my main role here is to oversee the security at a landmark location in Pittsburgh. More specifically, it’s to interact with my client, 6000+ tenants, and my own people. I’ve found that’s the only way to really get the pulse of the place, truly experience it and see all the positives and negatives, and head off any issues that may be coming down the road.
How long have you been on the Chesley Brown team?
I’ve been with Chesley Brown since March 2017.
What do you enjoy about working here?
I enjoy so many things about Chesley Brown but to mention a few highlights, I’d say the family feeling I get from literally everyone, the things we do to show the employees that they’re appreciated, and the flexibility I’m afforded to solve issues for my clients.
What is your proudest moment working at Chesley Brown?
My proudest moment personally would be getting promoted to Senior Director. It definitely wasn’t expected, but it was really nice to see that my work got noticed and recognized.
What do you do when you aren’t at work?
When I’m not at work, I’m usually at home with my fiancé and our two kids. Once they go to sleep I’m sitting around a fire with a cigar in my hand.
People are always surprised to learn that you...
People are surprised to learn anything about me, as I’d like to think I’m pretty quiet. To answer the question though, it would have to be that I play guitar in a band. It’s just so different than my work persona.
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
Despite my best efforts, I’m a terrible singer. On the rare occasion that I attempt karaoke, it’s usually something by Johnny Cash. His voice is kind of in my range.
