Area Awareness Officer
Description
The Area Awareness Officer will provide a uniformed, visible presence to observe, report, and serve as a source of information to the Main Street and Broadway communities, police, local businesses, tenants and other agencies and organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Graduate / GED
- Demonstrated experience with public contact positions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and limited technical skills.
- Must be willing and able to walk or bicycle in an outdoor urban setting in various weather conditions for extended periods of times. Vehicle patrol officers must maintain a good driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background screening and drug test.
