ATLANTA, GA (January 20, 2006)- Chesley Brown International, Inc., a leader in the security management industry, today announced one of their security supervisors at the Gateway in Salt Lake City thwarted a potentially dangerous situation. Supervisor Lewis at 3 a.m. on Sunday found what appeared to be a suspicious 20-ounce bottle in one of the parking garages. Upon further inspection by the Salt Lake City Police, it was determined to be a type of acid explosive device, which had the potential to cause harm to those in the surrounding area. It is believed the target was an unmarked Salt Lake County Sheriff’s patrol car. “Proper training has always been a top priority at Chesley Brown International and the keen awareness of our officer once again reinforces our commitment to training and providing exemplary officers for our clients’ properties,” states Chairman & CEO Brent C. Brown. “This officer will be commended for her decisive action which preempted a potentially dangerous situation.”
